Two young boys from the North East were professedly whipped with sticks the previous evening at a south Delhi neighbourhood, less two weeks after the demise of Nido Tania in what his companions portrayed as a racist ambush.
The young men from Manipur, were purportedly assaulted at Madangir in south Delhi by a motorcyclist.
One of the two, Ginkhansuan Naulak, is even now being treated at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS).
The episode occured when people from the North East are protesting the passing of 20-year-old Nido Tania, a student from Arunachal Pradesh, in the wake of being decimated with iron bars and sticks at south Delhi's Lajpat Nagar on January 29.
Nido was discovered dead in his bed hours after he was professedly hit by men who purportedly mocked him for his blonde hair and yelled supremacist slurs at him. A post-mortem examination report has affirmed that he died of wounds to his head and face as a consequence of that strike. Nido's folks had administered that he died because of the hitting, yet the police said they could act just after a medical report.
Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi and Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal joined dissidents requesting justice for him at candlelight vigils a week ago.
Political leaders from different parties have pledged to work with activists and people from the North East to address their repeatitive concerns of being target of racism in Delhi and different urban areas.
